Service Description

Corrective hair colour is a process that must be performed by a professional hair colourist to correct any and all damage caused by colour services gone wrong. We remove colour bands, uneven colour, brassiness, and colour splotches etc. These take hours to balance out and blend away. Colour Correction is a very important topic to discuss with your client. Many believe that we, as hair colourists are magicians! As much as we would love to believe that with you, in reality we are more like chemists. With that said some things are just not possible when protecting the integrity of the hair. Going from black to blonde in one day, not possible! Takes a few days and hundreds of dollars. That's the reality of the situation. Removing a darker colour from your hair is a strenuous process on your hair. It is done slowly with a lot of protectors and buffers in between. This is where the cost comes in. We don't know what is on the hair, box colour or bad colour? When a colourist says something is possible today or tries to inform you of the reality of your hair situation, make sure to listen because the best colourist will care more about the integrity of your hair in the end, rather than making a quick buck. When you decide that you're finally finished with colouring and want to embrace your own grey hair. This is also a process. The hair colourist will match the grey and begin the transition with you, but monthly services will be required to maintain the grey shade until you reach the length of grey hair desired. Colouring once will not hold a synthetic Grey Color. This is a transitional change. Grey will always fade to ash blonde if not maintained. Sometimes your dream hair will take time to achieve, like most things. It's important to listen to your hair colourist and believe them when they are telling you that big changes take many services, and you have to pay for each step along the way. Rest assured your hair colourist will use any and all products in her arsenal to correct your colour. It's expensive for you, but quite expensive for her too. This is why correction is charged at an hourly rate. Always book a consultation before making a hair colour appointment especially if you believe that you need correcting a mistake in your colour. Call to schedule your consultation. *Please note that corrections are rarely fixed with one appointment.
